Trend spotted at London Fashion Week

Lots of buzz generating from the trends seen during London fashion week. Some may like it while some may put off by it. Alexander McQueen may disapprove but being avant-bland is the new avant-garde – the phrase coined by JW Anderson.

Instead of pushing boundaries in creating fashion, being as simple as possible is the new way in expressing fashion, with his models walk through the runway in flat leather sandals and with pieces in neutral colors stitched together in artful way.

Pastel colors also seen a lot in a number of labels with pale pink, mint green, and creamy yellow the colors chosen that represents next spring/summer. Preen uses the colors in sexy and urbannish way for women to feel strong while sweet at the same time. Emilia Wickstead on the other hand opts for a cultured woman in her ready-to-wear pieces, combining soft shades for billowing gowns, pinafores, and spaghetti dress.

Possibly the theme chosen was inspired by the 60s and 70s (as shown very much at (Mulberry and Holly Fulton) as well as in conjunction with the pastels hues used frequently in the show, nearly each brand injected feminine and romantic feel in their collection, in terms of pattern and fabrics used.

Holly Fulton also attracted attention with glamorous and voluminous side swept curls. The style is the one if you love to have extra attention or even planning for a wedding in future spring and summer. The lower section is slicked flat while being brushed to the other side to create two distinct textures for the whole look.

Mulberry-London-Fashion-Week

Mulberry showcases a rather classic laidback style perfect for our everyday wear and suitable for all ages. The hair is parted to one side and pulled over to one side. For an added texture, avoid blow-drying the tresses.
